Eric belongs to the ever exclusive Old fart's tennis association. Trouble is that this year has been so crazy that he hasn't played a single game with the old farts. They still invited us to the yearly banquet. We didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to see old guys get dressed in tuxes and drink too much wine, and make fun of each other. They award ridiculus gifts to each member. For these reasons we look forward to it every year. Here are some pictures.
Eric and the "old fart" Phil who got Eric involved in the club.
Eric in the hot seat by the judge
Eric thought it only fitting to read out a poem to honor the association.
A Place For Me
I stay up late to keep the books
For IRS, FDA, and government crooks
There’s not much time to do the nasty
And when there is, it’s often hasty
I wake up early, think and stare
About the old farts playing without a care
They’ve done their time and paid their dues
Their days are filled with tennis and booze
My thoughts recall the good ole’ days
Of tennis fun by old farts ways
Would Dick’s big mouth still make Gary mad?
Would Phil’s bad line calls make the other team sad?
Does anyone recall the score?
How do they play with their backs so sore?
Such carefree days and now alas,
The seasons come and go so fast
A year gone by without a game
But with OFTA creed they hold no blame
For once an old fart you will see
Eric's gift to an old fart who has hip problems. This invention should help him get around the court faster.
After the OFTA banquet we drove down south for a few days. We always have the best time there and we never want to leave.
Maddie was happy to see us, she remembered us from the weekend before.
Kami girl playing outside.
We have the best time together.
We went to the beach, and I surfed. Well actually I got eaten alive.
Beauty
Eric was happy he surfed 2 days in a row.
Maddie showing off her skills.
Girls night out.
So you think you can dance tour.
We met Mary Murphey. She's prettier in real life and less annoying (but that's probably cause she didn't open her mouth).
We had such a great night together.
We had so much fun last week. I LOVE my in-laws. Can't wait to go back next week.

I love that poem, made me giggle. Can't wait for next week! Sam, don't worry, I'm still trying with the headband thing. I'll never give up!!!
I also love the poem. I love that Erik is an Old Fart! I'm also grateful that you have in-laws that are so good to you and who love my grandchildren.
I love your in laws too. But they are pretty dang lucky to have you as well. The Lindsey Family just might be the most beautiful family I have ever seen.
