On Friday Eric ran the Salt Lake City Marathon with a few friends. We did the 10 hour road trip on Wednesday night, and arrived there Thursday morning. We managed to get a few hours of shut eye before we went to get everybody registered for the race.
Eric, Jason, Mark and Dee
The morning of the race, we woke up at 3:00am and dropped the guys off, and we went to find a spot that we would meet them at. The first meeting point was mile 17. I was so happy when I saw this sexy man running up to me with a BIG smile on his face. Couldn't even tell he'd just ran 17 miles, he looked so good.
Mile 19. Jess running with Eric giving him some water. Still he had a big smile on his face.
Mile 26.2 crossing the finish line in 3:53 minutes. Average 8.9 minute miles. What a STUD.
Katie ran the last .2 miles with her uncle Eric.
Eric had his own personal cheerleaders there.
Aren't they adorable.
We were so glad that Jess and Mike were there.
The guys all did so well. We're so proud of them.
The whole group after the race.

You guys are crazy. Marathons are evil. I'm incredibly impressed that Eric made 8.something minutes per mile. That's really good. Sammie, you are really cute pregnant. I want more preggo pics on this blog. We need to get to know our little Dillon.
way to go eric. we are so proud of you. the fact that you even had a smile on your face at mile 17...that is so great. i can just see you and sam one day running those together.
Way to go! That is amazing!
Way to go guys! What a fun time! Great Job Eric! Love you guys!
You look so adorable!!! I am so bummed we haven't been able to get together the whole summer. Bad part about Doug working every weekend. My girl's have the same swimsuit too. I love it. We miss you and dream of a family vacation together....someday.
Good job Brotha! U killed it out there. Its crazy to think how far you actually ran...why is a marathon 26.2 miles anyways...why the additional .2 miles...as if 26 miles isn't far enough already. I ate 26.2 buffalo wings in rememberence of you on the day of your marathon--okay, I'm lying, I ate 27! I wanted to eat only a fifth of that final one so I could match you mile for mile/wing, but it tasted too good to leave the other four fifths behind. Sorry.
Well done to Eric, did some converting so that I could understand your times and you did really good. Looks like fun was had by all the spectators!!! Love and miss you all.
Sam. We so loved hanging out with you guys on Friday. I really love you and Eric! It was even worth the $70.00 meal at Rodessios (spelling;)
Kami cakes got spoilt rotten.
Wow! Way to go Eric!!! Running a marathon in your old age...... Just kidding. ; )
Sammie, you look SO cute pregnant! I am so excited for you guys to have your new little baby.
